East’s Culinary Arts Program gives students skills and knowledge of the Food Service Industry and Culinary Arts, learning food preparation and food production practices. East has a state-of-the-art kitchen including a demonstration station where they learn the many skills necessary for careers in the Back of the House. 
 
They will also participate in various opportunities to serve at catering events and to manage the Front of the House in our on-site Metals Café. 
 
Scholars in our program take these courses as part of their NYS CTE Certified Pathway: 
  • CA I      Introduction to Culinary Arts
  • CA II     Culinary Skills Development I ¹   
  • CA III    Culinary Skills Development II
  • CA IV    Kitchen & Food Service Mgmt ²   
  • CFM      Career & Financial Mgmt

¹Dual Credit with MCC FSA  107 & 109
